Tuesday, November 25th

For next  Tuesday we will continue our exploration of the paramitas which has now arrived at prajna or wisdom.

This is a link to a series of talks from a retreat that focuses on the Paramitas at Insight Retreat Center with Gil Fronsdal and Paul Haller.   The first talk is a short introduction to the paramitas and then there are talks on each paramita.

For a different perspective, this is a link to the Prajna Paramita Sutra that is frequently chanted at mahayana buddhist practice centers, and this is as article on prajna paramita from a San Francisco Zen Center program on Meditation in Recovery.

Please do your own research into prajna paramita and bring that to the discussion.

The schedule is:

6:00 – 6:30 sitting
6:30 – 7:15 discussion
7:15 – 7:30 sitting

The sitting takes place at BIBS – location in the sidebar.

For next  Tuesday we will continue our exploration of the Paramitas which has now arrived at the fourth Paramita – Virya. If you do a quick search on the web you will find that virya is translated in many ways most of which focus on effort, or as in the series of talks mentioned below, energy.

Please do your own research into this Paramita and bring that to the discussion.
